Assembly Point awarded "Best Folk Group 2011" (Cáceres Irish Fleadh Festival)

Assembly Point are a new pan-Celtic music group formed by Fernando Barroso (Galicia), Eoghan Neff (Ireland), and Luis Peixoto (Portugal).

They have been awarded the title:"Best Folk Group 2011" at the recent Cáceres Irish Fleadh Festival which took place on November 5th 2011.

Fresh from the release of their début album, Assembly Point shared the stage at Cáceres with the renowned Irish band, Kíla, among others. The trio performed in front of a packed plaza, and left the audience stunned and elated by the pulsating energy of their live concert show.

The Cáceres Irish Fleadh is celebrated annually in this medieval Spanish city (in the remote Automonous Community of Extremadura), and over the three days it gathers together both professional musicians and folk music lovers from within and beyond the Iberian peninsula. The impressive standard of musicianship at the festival, together with its all-round participatory spirit, has made the Cáceres Irish Fleadh a point of reference for traditional music professionals and admirers alike.

The album is released by Zouma Records (Galicia, Spain) and Vachier & Asociados (Portugal).
